Young Professionals Visit Selwood Farm in Childersburg | Workforce Development Program.

The Childersburg Area Chamber of Commerce's Young Professionals program recently spent an exciting morning at Selwood Farm, one of Childersburg's premier destinations for outdoor recreation, hospitality, and community engagement.

The visit provided students with a unique opportunity to experience a local business firsthand while learning about the many career, leadership, and recreational opportunities available throughout the Childersburg area. Participants toured the beautiful property, explored the grounds, and enjoyed riding golf carts as they learned more about the operations and vision behind one of the region's most distinctive destinations.

The Young Professionals program is designed to help students develop leadership skills, build professional connections, and gain exposure to local businesses and industries that contribute to the growth and success of our community. Experiences like the visit to Selwood Farm allow students to see firsthand how local businesses create opportunities, serve customers, and positively impact the quality of life in Childersburg and throughout Talladega County.

"One of the goals of the Young Professionals program is to connect students with the people, places, and industries that make our community thrive," said John-Mark Freeman, President and CEO of the Childersburg Area Chamber of Commerce. "Selwood Farm provided an outstanding experience that allowed students to learn, explore, and see the potential that exists right here in their own backyard."
